Curriculum

We seek to be creative and believe that we should be free to construct what is the most appropriate curriculum for our learners in this age and this world , under the broad guidance of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. Our curriculum is not rigidly fixed, but evolves with time,in line with learners needs.

We follow a combine British and Zimbabwean curriculum and the following subjects are taught:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Individual Sciences (Biology,Chemistry and Physics ) as core
  • Shona
  • Visual and Performing Arts
  • Physical Education
  • Music
  • ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
  • Religious Studies (Including Asemblies)
    are taught as foundation subjects.

Programmes of study set out what each learner should be taught at each grade and provide the basis for planning schemes of work.

Pupils

We treat each child as a unique individual with their own capabilities and limits. We believe in developing the whole child through the provision of a conducive learning environment, qualified and committed teachers to the development of the emotional, physical, cultural and intellectual development of each individual child.

It is our aim to make sure that each and every one of our children enjoys their life at the school by making sure that they have a home away from home.

The philosophy of the school is outlined under our “Mission Statement”. We encourage and help each pupil to maximize their potential and to aim high. We feel our style of teaching is appropriate for this age group where pupils are eager to learn and take part in all school activities with a positive attitude.
